Bordeaux Conference Banner

This year's conference will explore how Europe responds to an era of growing uncertainty and transformation. Drawing on the host institution's theme of civilian power and European defence, discussions will examine the opportunities and challenges facing Europe today. Throughout the programme participants will consider issues including security, democracy, governance, sustainability, technology, economics and society, while reflecting on the ways these developments shape the future of European integration and cooperation. As always, the conference welcomes contributions from across the full spectrum of European Studies.

Why Bordeaux?

The conference will be hosted at the modern ESSCA School of Management Bordeaux Campus, located in the Bastide district on the banks of the Garonne River and within easy reach of the historic city centre.
