See a list of frequently asked questions below:

Where do I register upon arrival?

Conference registration takes place in the Sociology Building at Via Giuseppe Verdi, 26. Look for UACES signage to guide you to the registration desk, which opens at 08:00 on Monday, 2 September. You'll receive your delegate badge, and if you've registered for the conference dinner, you'll get your ticket there as well. Don’t forget to pick up your complimentary conference tote bag!

Where are the conference activities located?

The conference is spread across the University of Trento campus, with activities in several buildings, all within a short walking distance. You can view the conference map here, and a more detailed Google Map here. UACES signage and staff will be on hand to assist you throughout the campus.

How do I know where my panel is taking place?

You will have received an email from us indicating where your panel(s) will be, and you can also find this on the Conference Programme, and in the Conference App. The name of the location is just below the panel title, and it will also indicate what building the panel is in (i.e., Sociology or Economics). If you are presenting or chairing, please aim to arrive at the room 10 minutes before the panel is due to begin.

Where is the quiet room?

Quiet Rooms are designated rooms for those who need a space to focus or get some respite from the conference. You will find two quiet rooms at the conference: one in the Law Building (just across the road from the entrance to the Sociology building), and another in the Economics Building in Aula 3H (3rd floor).

Are there facilities available for families?

Yes. There is a family room and baby changing facilities available in the Law Building. The family room is a designated space for feeding, resting and playtime.

Who do I talk to about my accessibility requirements?

If you have accessibility requirements, please email us at admin@uaces.org or let us know at the registration desk and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. For those with mobility issues, we can arrange for catering to be brought to you daily if you make us aware of this. If you initially believe you can manage the walk to the break area but later realise you do require the tray service, just visit us at the registration desk in the Sociology Building Foyer. Please note that the caterers will be updated on this daily at 10.00.

How do I identify a staff member at the conference?

UACES staff and University of Trento events staff will be wearing white lanyards. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak to us and we will do our best to support you.
