New JCMS Editors
In July 2010 the present editors of the JCMS, Jim Rollo and Dan Wincott, will be ending their term of office. UACES has appointed new Editors to take over the editorship. The new editors have started the transition to take over to ensure continuity.

Call for JCMS Book Review Editors
The JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies calls for book review editors to work with the incoming journal editors, Michelle Cini and Amy Verdun from September 2010.
The book review editors’ role entails: identifying appropriate reviewers; careful consideration of books for potential review; and the copy-editing and submission of reviews in accordance with the publication schedule. In addition they will occasionally need to liaise with authors over editorial changes, progress and deadlines and to liaise with editors over publication deadlines, word-lengths and page numbers; providing the editors with regular status reports. The editors will also record the submissions and reviewers details.
Book review editors are appointed for a term of 3 years in the first instance. The editors’ preference is that two book review editors should be appointed (ideally located at the same institution or in close geographic proximity). However, individual applicants will also be given serious consideration.
Expressions of interest (of no more than 250 words), accompanied by a CV inclusive of two referees should be sent by email to Michelle Cini (michelle.cini@bris.ac.uk) and Amy Verdun (averdun@uvic.ca) by 31 May 2010.

For over 40 years the JCMS has been the forum for the development and evaluation of theoretical and empirical issues in the politics and economics of integration, focusing principally on developments within the European Union.

The JCMS aims to achieve a disciplinary balance between political science and economics, including the various sub-disciplines such as monetary economics, fiscal policy, political economy, public policy studies, public administration and international relations. In addition to mainstream theoretical and empirical articles, the JCMS publishes shorter pieces which focus on specific policy areas or which report the results of specialised research projects.
The JCMS is committed to deepening the theoretical understanding of European integration. It will continue to develop as the primary forum for the analysis of all aspects relating to the process of European integration. An Annual Prize is awarded for the best article appearing in the JCMS each year.
