The Irish Association for Contemporary European Studies (IACES) is delighted to announce that Michael Russell MSP, Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland's Place in Europe will deliver the 2017 IACES Annual Lecture.
The UK decision to leave the EU constitutes one of the most profound challenges to face the contemporary European Union (EU). This year's lecture considers the Brexit challenge from a Scottish perspective.
Minister Michael Russell with discuss the implications of Brexit for the UK, Scotland and Ireland. His lecture will address the Irish dimension to Brexit and what this means for future Scottish-Irish political and economic relations. Minister Russell will also consider the snap UK general election and UK constitutional futures.
This event is a unique opportunity to engage directly with Scotland's 'Brexit' Minister. The Minister's lecture will be followed by Q&A and a light lunch.
